Summer is nearly upon us and we have a guide to help you make the most of it.

Walking

The longer daylight hours and warmer weather make summer the ideal season for outdoor adventures. From the rolling hills of the Lake District to the rugged peaks of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), the UK offers some of the world's most spectacular walking destinations. But you don't need to tackle challenging terrain to enjoy the benefits of outdoor walking – even a leisurely stroll through your local park can boost your mood and improve your wellbeing. The whole family can join in with short walks, a wander along a river or through a wood or exploring a local beauty spot with a picnic. We highly recommend recording your fell walks with one of our Walking Logbooks. We have two to choose from and both offer you space to record highlights, distance walked, weather and your thoughts on the walk.

 Gardening

This is the ideal time to work in your garden or window boxes. We sell a range of products to make this a little easier. We have some tools in a tin or a hand care set to make sure you take care of your hard working hands!

We also sell seeds that may attract a range of insects to your outdoor space and suet balls you can buy towards winter time to feed the birds as food becomes more scarce for them.

Maybe, like us, you are not green fingered and often kill plants! We suggest one of our paper plant kits to create a beautiful plant that cannot die!

 Crafts

The British weather is unpredictable and so it can sometimes be necessary to stay indoors. Don’t worry! We have you covered! Wet days don’t need to be boring.

See the bad weather as an opportunity to try a new craft. We have a range of craft kits in our HQ or in our online shop. They contain everything you need to make something special. Maybe you want to try screen printing, needle felting or embroidery. The weaving kits can be used by children and you can create a coaster or a wall hanging.

Curl up inside and watch the rain while enjoying a hot beverage from one of our stylish mugs. Maybe grab one of our fun games to play with friends and family. As a family we love both Barbecubes and Kittins. We have found it more difficult than expected to balance wooden ‘food’ shapes over a ‘grill’ and giggled a lot during the rounds of Barbecubes.
