Why 'The Red Squirrel'? We explain what's behind our name.

We have called our shop 'The Red Squirrel' but we often get asked why?

Red Squirrels are local to where we live, in Cumbria, they are playful and beautiful. As a family we have enjoyed many hours watching red squirrels. 

We decided to name our shop after these beautiful animals. We aim to offer a carefully curated collection of stationery, gifts and greetings card that are beautiful and playful, just like the Red Squirrels.

It's also a nod to a much loved family member, who loved red squirrels. Towards the end of their life they told us they could see Red Squirrels playing at the end of their bed.
